On 29 Aug 2014, Ganpati celebration has started at Daman Police Station with Ganapathi Murthi Pranpasthithan" utsav. All the Daman & Diu Police officer and personnel of IRBn posted in Daman were present. Inspector General of Police Shri Manish Kumar Agrawal also did aarti and after that other did arti. The celebration like other years will be for 10 days. It is a tradition of Daman & Diu police they celebrate Ganpati Puja every by establishing a Murthi at Police Station Daman.

DNH Police Gear up for Ganpati Festival
Dadra Nagar Haveli police are gearing up to stop the menace 'Ganpati Chanda' extortion and tight
nickel against the anti-social elements who are harassing industries by demanding money and those who are not paying have been threatened. The superintendent of Police Shri R Sathya Sundaram who chair the meeting where all the officer of DNH local police and officer of IRBn were also present. The SP has given a clear instruction to all the police officer to remain vigilant and complains of chanda extortion should be dealt with prompt deterrent action like the arrest confiscation of vehicles if any used.No mercy should be given to anti-nationals.
